…Make me wanna throw a party soon: thought this was a really cool idea, a tasting with a fun twist and a {wine} jackpot.

…Need to “do over”: our anniversary trip to Napa Valley.

…That make life sweeter: some “liquid gold”.  Dolce wine from Far Niente Winery.  Very interesting sweet wine made out of moldy grapes.

Is not called liquid gold for nothing, they do keep it locked.

…Recently discovered: an awesome grape I had not tried before, Garnacha, from Spain. I’m mostly into full-bodied reds that are more spicy than fruity, but I can say that this one is perfect a combination of both, it was strong, spicy but a little cherry-flavored at the same time.  Picked up this bottle at Whole Foods Market.

…Still my favorite: Malbec. I so love this grape, has never gone wrong for me.  Don’t matter how cheap the bottle is there is always a 95% chance that it will be good.

…You should know: Pairing is not just a word is a verb, and both wine and food, do taste better together.

  1. Much awesome in this post. I adore wine and have Napa on my bucket list. The chalkboard glasses and wine bag party – I think I need to get on planning something like this soon. Summer weather sounds like a fun patio party:)
